You can see other Menu Plan Monday's here.Part of my weekly routine is creating a menu to build my grocery list. Jeanne, a woman I worked with at Big Creek, taught me that money saver idea. I have a few friends here and here that already participate in Menu Plan Monday. So I thought since I already do this for myself each week, I would post for you all too. I'm also going to add if I got any of the items on sale at the grocery store. Every little bit helps right?
So here goes!
Monday: 5:30 Meal, Southwestern Chicken with rice (boneless chicken on sale at Krogers)
Tuesday: Turkey Burgers with french fries and green beans (organic green beans coupon, Krogers)
Wednesday: Spaghetti (Prego coupon)
Thursday: leftovers
Friday: sloppy joes with mac and cheese ( sloppy joes and buns coupon for Krogers)
Saturday: Steamfresh Meal for 2 (coupon)

Hey do you know about the crockpot lady? She is my hero, since I am never home to cook dinner b/c of tutoring. This way I still come home to a hot, home cooked meal that I can plan out in advance. Lots of chicken recipes, too, and it's all gluten free. She's awesome and it's affordable:

I forgot i had that steamfresh for two! Thanks for the ideas!
Since you seem to love coupons, I remembered I saw a segment on the Today Show of a lady who got a weeks worth of grocery's for a family of 4 for less than $20 (or something incredible like that.) So, I googled grocery coupons but couldn't remember the actual site they referrenced. But, there are a ton of free coupon sites! Have you gone to couponmom.com? It has some great coupons, ideas to save money, and even a blog!! (just right up your alley!) I vaguely remember the Today Show website was one you had to pay for but it seemed to be worth it. I haven't done anything like that since I only buy for one but maybe it will help you and others!
Charlotte, thanks for sharing that website. I try and switch up crockpot weeks. So I will plan those for next week.
You're welcome minding momma!
Jenn, Yeah, I'm all over the websites. That's one reason I shop at Kroger's because one of the websites downloads the coupons right to your Kroger plus card.
KELLY! You blog! So exciting. I have a new person to stalk on my lunch break. Your kids are TOO cute! So good to see you
