One Year Check Up and a Little Bit More

Cooper had his one year check up last week and all went well. He's growing on track at 19 lbs 15 1/4 oz. He's in the 10-25% for other boys his age. He was exactly 30 inches long, but I forgot the %. I think it was 25-50%. His head size was in the 50-75%. Big head with a little body! LOL He'll go back at 15 months for another check up. Hopefully we'll stay clear of germs and bugs between now and then.

His development is taking off. He very quick on his feet and now can back up and bend at the knee and get back up without assistance. His vocabulary is also springing forward. If he talks like Marlee does, we'll never have a quiet moment again. (That's just the way I want it too).

He says Mama, Dada, Chloe, Dori, and will sometimes say Sissy or Mar. This week he's really been working on ball and snack. His memory is strong like Marlee's. You can call the name of something and he will search to find it.

Marlee is very attached to her blanket that she named "deece." Well of course the name has stuck and C recognizes it too. He loves his blanket and drags it around behind him like Linus from Charlie Brown. He does still take a paci but mostly at naptime/bedtime. He will sometimes suck on it during the day, but doesn't seem too attached to it. Hopefully I can start working toward phasing it out.

He loves puzzles and board books. He also likes to sort shapes, although it is more fun to just put them in and pour them out rather than sort them. Oh, and he's a mama's boy! :0
