Well, if you read my Friday Night Vent a few weeks ago, you may have heard some frustration in my tone. Well, the frustration is from the fact that there has been no activity on our house in months. Chad and I knew moving up here that the market was bad, but I don't think either one of us thought it would get this bad.
With the crisis of the economy in mind, Chad and I have decided to move back to our home in Georgia. We look at it with bittersweet excitement. Excitement to feel settled again, have space for the kids to play, and to be out from under these Knoxville bills that are draining our pocketbooks. The bittersweet comes from leaving Knoxville, our friends, and our jobs.
Being away has allowed Chad and me to reflect on the things we enjoyed about our home, neighborhood, and community. We've got new shopping (a Super Target, Kohl's etc) less than 10 miles from the house! Yeah! Plus, I realized the many friends I had made over the years. There are several friends in our neighborhood too.
So what's next? Well, I turned in my resignation at school. My last day will be Friday December 19th. We plan on moving out of the apartment and back to Georgia on Saturday the 20th. So, thankfully we will be in our home for Christmas. As for me working when we get back, as of this moment, I am undecided. Childcare for 2 kids is rather expensive, so we're going to crunch some numbers and see they say.
What can you do for us? Pray that the next couple of months bring settlement, relief, and peace for our family.

So happy you will be moving back. We will be praying for you all. Let's plan to get together once you get settled in.
Thanks. I planned on crashing one of the baby get togethers! :)
Wow, that's great news for you all! I know you'll be happy to be back in your home -- best of luck with the move!
I found your blog through Hayden's (I'm jeremy's girlfriend) and have heard so many things about you and your precious children from Brooke! Your house in GA looks exactly like my cousin's. She lives in Bridgemill in Canton. Are you anywhere near Canton? I know Brooke has told me you lived in the Atlanta area...
I also saw that you are friends with Shay Long! We went to college together and were good friends! It's such a small world!
Sorry for the random comment...good luck with the move and Happy Holidays!
Allison
Hey Allison! What a small world. I taught with Shay at Big Creek Elementary a few years ago.
Yes, we live in Canton. We live off of East Cherokee, which is on the other side of town from Bridgemill.
Thanks for the thoughts on moving!

I know this was a tough decision for both you and Chad but it will lift a huge burden, and hopefully, make life a little easier. I've always thought we never took advantage of spending more time together when you lived here the first time. So, here's to a second chance....let's make it much better this time around!! I do wish you guys the very best and a smoother move (remember, to get that medicine for the cats!)
