Halloween 2010 Part 2

(See the previous post for more Halloween pictures) We started our Halloween festivities by carving pumpkins. Marlee and Cooper got to pick out a pumpkin and decide what the jack-o-lantern face looked like. We all sat down on the living room floor and got started. Mostly it was me and Chad doing the carving and hollering at the kids to sit down, watch out for the knives, or something of that nature.

The kids played dress up in an old witch's costume. They both got tickled when they put it on. I almost had a hard time telling them apart. I think it is safe to say they are looking more and more like each other. Our friends' neighbor passed down some really sweet costumes for Marlee and Cooper. We spent a total of about $5 on tights and a black headband to make both costumes complete. Thanks again, Ms. Jill!!

Last night we went to the Baptist Church for Fun, Sweets, and Treats. Marlee and Cooper were not very in tune with the idea. They were totally overwhelmed with the amount of people and the dozens of costumes they saw. It took about 20-30 minutes for them to warm up to the idea. They had tons of games for the kids to play to earn candy for their candy bowls. Once the kids got the hang of it they really had fun.

Tonight we went over to our friends' home and trick or treated in their neighborhood. Josh fixed a big pot of chili for the adults, and Tracy had Halloween pasta and tomato sauce for the kids. They had a wonderful time. Marlee was a little skeptical at the first couple of houses but quickly got the hang of things. Afterward the kids loafed on the couch with some milk and watched a Thomas the Train Halloween video.

Now, lets get ready for Christmas!! :)

Looks like such a fun evening; love Marlee's pink pumpkin bucket - if I show that to Charlotte she will be jealous :)
You're looking great too, mama. So glad to see you all together and so happy!
