Sunshine Award
Thanks to Charlotte for bestowing a little sunshine on me. She's a BFF from many years back. Love her dearly and very thankful for the 15+ years of friendship we've shared. She's due with her second baby any day, so be sure to say some prayers for a safe delivery and a healthy baby boy!! The Sunshine Award is for those blogs out there that add a little sunshine to your day, so I'm supposed to do three things upon receiving this award:
1) tell you 10 things about myself
2) spread the Sunshine to 10 other blogs
3) let you know you've been awarded!
10 Things about me:
1. I don't make my bed but do straighten out the sheets each night before bed.
2. I can almost always sing lyrics from a song based on what you say.
3. I nervously tick my left leg when standing in front of groups of people speaking.
4. I am a VIVID dreamer. Just ask Chad.
5. Candy is my weakness.
6. I really do like all genres of music.
7. I secretly want a third child and a mini van. Chad ain't having none of it.
8. I am a worry wart and worry about way too much that's out of my control.
9. College football is my favorite sport. GO VOLS!
10. I'm a story teller. Give me a few drinks and pull up a chair.
10 Other Blogs:
1. Elizabeth's blog is one of the first that I check every morning. She was the music teacher at the first elementary school I taught at in GA. We were pregnant with our daughters at the same time. She's a multi tasking mom that I aspire to be one day.
2. Lindsay's blog is another I check frequently. She and I became fast friends while working in GA. She always provided hours of girl chit-chatting needed to make it through the day. She was a fantastic teacher but now stays at home with her two adorable boys.
3. I stalked Amanda's blog before I even really knew who she was. She's from a small town in East TN and went to high school with a few girls I knew in college. It just so happened that we moved in 3 houses down the street from her and her family. The rest is history.
4. Danielle is an amazing mom who always seems to get it all done. I would love to be a fly on the wall in her house. She lives in our old neighborhood in GA and was pregnant with her 5th child when I was pregnant with Cooper.
5. I went to UT and was in the same pledge class as Stephanie. She's from Nashville but now lives in Boston. She's got taste out of this world! I love to see the world through her lens. I wouldn't be surprised to see her on HGTV's Next Design Star. I wish I had her talent and could take her sewing class.
6. J-Rae and I interned together at Lenoir City back in 2003. She is super sweet and an amazing teacher. I would love it if Marlee or Cooper had her for their teacher. She's a wonderful example of a hard working mom who loves her life.
7. Brooke and I also taught together in GA. I laughed walking by her classroom. She always had those little kindergartners whipped into shape and was super organized. She's now a stay at home mom and just recently announced her second pregnancy.
8. Kristy is another former teacher from GA who just recently started staying home because she's due with her third bundle. She has so many great ideas for family time. I really enjoy reading about the neat places she and her family visit in GA. Chad and I never really took advantage of the places the ATL had to offer. Thank goodness Kristy does and blogs about it.
9. Sarah Kay is a dear, sweet friend from GA. She was a rock for me; always calling and stopping by to check on me and see the kids. She's ready to embark on the journey of parenthood but is patiently waiting on God's timing.
10. Susan is a new friend I met through Amanda. She's a part of our playgroup. She's a wonderful person and so sweet. Her little girl, Maya, shares a birthday with Cooper, and her son Noah is Cooper's age. I look forward to many girls' nights out.

Woo Hoo thanks girl! Although I am afraid if you were to be a fly on the wall I would surely dissapoint. I don't have it all together..and too many days I feel like I'm failing in more areas than one. But one day at a time, and sometimes minute byu minute, but we keep on ticking.
Wow, what an honor! I think that's the nicest thing I've heard all week - and I needed a compliment today, trust me! Thank you :)
Awww, you are so sweet, Kelly! Sooo glad that we met and will have lots more outings to come!!!!
