Please Laugh with Me or I Might Just Scream or Cry or Both

Here's the back story: Marlee is now sleeping in the guest bedroom because it is a full size bed. She's started a bad habit of coming out of her room several times each night ( a whole other post itself).

So Chloe (our fat cat) got locked in Marlee's (old) room last night for I don't know how many hours. I was about asleep, and thought I heard Marlee come out of her (big bed) room.
I waited for her to come around the corner then I heard Chloe clawing the carpet. Something she's been doing a lot lately. I yelled, in a whisper voice, to stop. Then she started crying, and I could tell she was in a room. Imagine me a wee bit pissed since I was almost asleep before 11 pm.

So first I tried where Marlee was sleeping.

No cat.

Then I tried Cooper's room.

No cat.

Then I looked in the bathroom.

No freaking cat.

Last place to check was Marlee's room.

Out runs the cat. I flip the switch to see if she had gone to the bathroom. It was turned off, so I closed the door and went back to bed. At that point, I didn't really care. I just wanted to sleep.

Fast forward to 10 o'clock this morning.

We come upstairs after breakfast to get dressed, and Marlee opens the door and says it smells in her room.
I go in and smell cat poop. GREAT!!!! Just what I needed on a cold rainy day with a pounding headache.
I can't find it because Marlee had two accidents this am and went upstairs to change her clothes. When she gets dressed, she pulls EVERY article of clothing she owns out of her drawers. The clothes were scattered ALL OVER HER ROOM!
Insert a visual comic of a mad man with steam coming from the ears. That's how I was feeling at the moment.
After the clothes were picked up and put away, I found a mound of poop and a couple of nuggets here and there. Also, I had to strip her bed because I guess Chloe gave up at some point and jumped on the bed and put her poopy bottom on the sheets and left skid marks. Insert laughter, please.

That's how my day has gone down. Now just trying to air out the room from the smell of cat poop.

How has your day been? Better than mine, I hope!

I know it is not funny, but I did laugh because your description is so precise. Hopefully you have a bottle of wine nearby for tonight!

Sorry, Kel! That sounds like a horrible way to start a day! I can hear you saying SOB in your quick, southern accent, and it is making me smile, however :o) I miss you!!!!

I'm laughing about it now, but in the moment I was so pissed. If I didn't love those cats I would have gotten rid of them a LONG time ago!!
