Success

Here's the picture of my organic grocery trip for this week. I felt it was a successful one at that! I shopped exclusively at Publix this week. They seemed to have more on sale that matched up with my coupons.

The biggest scores in my opinion were the Nature's Own Whole Wheat Bread. It was BOGO and to top it off the organic was included! I got 2 loaves of organic bread for $3.49. Also, I had a coupon for Ragu pasta sauce, which was BOGO, but the organic wasn't on sale, but I did save $0.50 a jar. So I paid $2.79 each.

M and C eat peanut butter and honey sandwiches just about everyday for lunch and we eat "Ants on a Log" (peanut butter and raisins on celery) a lot for snack during the week. So we can put down some PB. Skippy Natural was on sale for $1.89 each and I had a 40 cent coupon that was doubled. I got 4 jars at $1.69 each!

The organic strawberries were on sale 2/5. They were sold out of Mott's Organic, but I got the natural BOGO. Kashi had granola 2/5. I saved $2 on the squash and zucchini and 40 cents on the recycled paper towels. I also saved $1.50 on the Organic Valley milk and $2.43 on the Green Wise Organic Chicken Breasts. Oh, Publix had their Kettle Chips on sale 2/5 (last week Kroger had the 2/6 and I saw Whole Foods had them on sale 2/7).

So the only things organic that I bought that weren't on sale were the cookies, apples, C's whole milk, M's organic chocolate milk and the ground chuck.

My total spent this week was around $72, and I saved around $20. I was very pleased with this week's trip!

That's awesome! I am going to try shopping at Publix this week too. Oh, an organic snack that Matthew likes are the fruit peels that Target makes. They are $2.99 for a box of 8. If you ever need excellent honey and you're in L'burg, my mom sells it. She is a beekeeper so it's all natural and delicious. It's the only kind I give Matthew.
