Marlee is growing so fast!

Marlee has hit another milestone this week. She has started potty-training! This was all her doing. Since we moved into the apartment, she has stalked me every time I go to the bathroom. She has been very curious about the process. Then one afternoon I let her run around without a diaper. I told her that if she needed to go to potty that she would go in the big potty. A little while later I could tell she needed to go, and I sat her on the toilet and she went to the bathroom. Chad and I made a really big deal. She danced around and we clapped and congratulated her for being such a big girl.

So we took her to toys-r-us and let her pick out a potty. She got the Elmo one that talks back to you. She has run around diaper free for 2 days and has gone to the bathroom in her new potty every time. We haven't had any accidents! Many times she goes in there by herself and has "false alarms" but at least she is understanding the principle.

We are so proud of her! I know that potty-training this early can lead to regression down the road, but if she's ready, then so are we. Mom sent some training panties to her by FedEx. She tore through the box and played around a little bit. She wasn't very eager to put them on. I think that will change over time. Right now she's just enjoying herself running around the house naked. I have no idea where she gets that?!?!

As for Cooper, he's growing everyday! He has starting rolling over to his side. He's fast about it too. I don't think it will be too much longer before he starts to roll over. He is also spending time chewing on anything he can get in his mouth. Still sleeping through the night and the recipient of Marlee's kisses. She can hardly stand to NOT be in his face. She continues to mimic my actions and get Coop to smile and laugh. He has noticed her and tracks her movements.

They both get to attend their first baseball game tomorrow. Our friends,, Christine and Chance, are up here with Chance's East Cobb ball team playing in a tournament. It is being held on campus. So look for pictures later in the weekend.

Take care all!

BTW~ Marlee and I made cupcakes earlier this week. She REALLY enjoyed it!

Yay Marlee!! That is wonderful! Cooper is getting so big. He is sooo adorable. I am happy to hear that you made it to Knoxville. Good luck with the job search. I used to teach 5th grade math at North Middle School in Loudon County. It was the BEST job I have ever had!! If you need some contacts there please let me know.
