Bad Blogging Award

The bad blogging award would go to me. I have just been plan ol' busy lately. I got behind on uploading pictures, which put me behind on blogging. I'm in the process of back-dating some posts. So scroll through and look for a few new ones and check back later in the week for updated posts. I'll try and do better from here on out.

First Official Play date

Marlee has a BFF at preschool. The girls have wanted to set up a play date for sometime now. We finally got it worked out for Miss K to come over and play for a few hours. They had a great time. Lots of giggling, lots of wardrobe changes, and lots of silliness. I had to remove Cooper from all the fun. He adopted the role of pestering little brother perfectly. He wanted to do everything they did but having only two of everything, he was the odd man out.

I look forward to many more play dates and friends over in the future.

My Cowgirl Ballerina

I think the pictures say it all. And I threw in a picture of Cooper just for the heck of it.

Holiday Card Time

Aside from visiting with family, my most favorite thing about the Holidays is decorating our home. Finishing in a close second is creating holiday cards to send to all of our favorite people. We have done picture cards since Marlee was born. I have always enjoyed searching for the perfect card online, ordering them, and selecting the perfect pen to sign and address the envelopes.

I highly anticipate receiving cards in the mail. I'm sort of a card-a-holic. I have collected cards for many years. I have a box at my parents' house full of cards from my childhood. So sending and receiving holiday cards is right up my alley. I'll share one of those "things you don't know about me" thingys...I keep all of my cards each year. I pack them away with the rest of the Christmas decor and spend time looking through them all the next year. I love to see how families grow and expand each year.

There's no better way to document those yearly changes than in holiday picture cards. This year I am excited to use Shutterfly for the first time. I had decided to use them this year even before I heard about their great promotional offer to blogger.com. So if you love to blog, love to take pictures, and love to send holiday cards, then you must try this:

Bloggers get 50 free holiday cards from Shutterfly… sign up: http://bit.ly/sfly2010

Their selection of cards is wonderful and each design has a uniqueness about it. They have three main styles to chose from, folded cards, stationary cards, and flat photo cards. I have picked some favorites from each group but don't worry, I won't spoil my pick for favorite that you'll open in the mail. :)

Folded Cards I like can be found here:

I'm ready to embark on the perfect holiday card pose this weekend. Wish us luck. It's not an easy thing with two little ones. Oh, and since we have moved, let me know if you need our new mailing address...'cause you know I'll be looking for your card.

Golf Cart Drivers

My cousin passed down the best toy to Marlee and Cooper. After bike riding for a while, they switch to the golf cart. Cooper is the better driver for sure. They get into their own little imaginary worlds and just pretend away. I can sit on the driveway and watch them all day.

Fall Crafts

We had a few crafty materials left over after Halloween. So one day I let the kids just craft away with no direction. They did pretty well. The follow directions well and just really seem to enjoy all things crafty.

I decided to make some cute hand turkeys. (only pic I have. I've already packed the finished products up)

The Love Affair Continues

Marlee's love for all thing Horse continues to grow. She still plays with her horses and my little ponies. She bought a truck and trailer for her horses and loves drawing horse families.

She came downstairs one night, when she should have been sleeping to show this to me and Chad. It's me petting a horse. She drew it on the Leapster 2 she got for her birthday.
